Cyrus Bark – CEO, C&C Bark Metalldruckguss und Formenbau GmbH
After earning his degree in Business Administration & Technical management at the University of Stuttgart, he worked for four years with A.T. Kearney GmbH Management consultants. Parallelly to his consultant job he did his PhD in economic science at the Universities of Stuttgart. In 2001 he joined the Advisory Services/Corporate Finance Group of Ernst & Young, auditors, Stuttgart. Since 2004 he is owner and managing partner of the C&C Bark GmbH, a leading German magnesium diecasting foundry & tool-shop, supplier to automotive, power tool and optical industry.
Cyrus founded also a consultancy - AURIGA Ltd, that is specialized in operational excellence, value management and reengineering.

Stefano Ceccato – CEO, Alluminio Sammarinese
Stefano Ceccato was born on July 4th, 1966 in Latina, where his family used to
live. His father had moved there to work in an aluminium factory. After the primary school, Stefano and his family moved to Milan and then to Bologna,
where he got a Degree in Economics and Trade. Meanwhile, in 1982, his father together with a well-known businessman of San Marino, founded “Alluminio Sammarinese”, a factory producing aluminium profiles, used mainly for industrial applications, such as automotive, electronics and house furniture.
Stefano moved to San Marino in 1992 and started working in one of the family’s companies. In 1996 he became Managing Director of “Alluminio Sammarinese”, which now counts 150 workers. The company is specialized in the extrusion, machining and finishing of aluminium profiles. Stefano’s family owns another company, “Alfa Solare”, that produces plastic extruded profiles in two facilities, located in San Marino and in Italy. The company today employees 70 workers. He has been married since 1994. His wife Claudia holds a Degree in Law and one Degree in Economics. Stefano and Claudia have two sons (18 and 12 years old).

Fred Demler – Global Head of Metals, INTL FCStone Inc
Fred Demler is Executive Vice President – LME Metals.  INTL FCStone is a leading Ring Dealing Member of the London Metal Exchange. 
INTL’s Metals Division offers a full range of hedging and trading services from trade execution and contract clearing in LME and other international futures and OTC cleared products to research, hedge strategy analysis and design, and hedge workshops. Prior to joining INTL in 2011, Mr. Demler worked for MF Global (1993-2011) for 18 years as the Global Head of Commodities managing metals, energy, agricultural products, and the emerging markets such as power, emissions, and OTC cleared products.  Mr. Demler also worked in various sales, research, marketing, and management capacities at PaineWebber (1990-1993), Drexel Burnham (1983-1990), and Exxon (1980-1983). He has a Ph.D. in Mineral Economics from the Pennsylvania State University where he was an instructor and did post-graduate research for the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Bureau of Mines, and Resources for the Future. As an undergraduate, Fred was also on the Penn State football team. Fred writes periodic reports on the commodities markets; price-risk management and forecasting, teaches various workshops on hedging, lectures at various universities domestically and internationally, and has advised the Bank of England, the Bank of Japan, and the Bank of France, G-20 and the G-30 (Group of 30) on the commodities markets, the impact of the funds, and the role of China in the commodity markets.
Goran Djukanovic - Analyst and Industry Consultant
He has education in mechanical engineering (dipl.ing) and economics (actuary, postgraduate) of University of Montenegro. He started his professional career designing parts and equipment for the transport industry before joining Kombinat Aluminijuma Podgorica (KAP) in 1997 as the Chief Design Engineer, prior to the market analyst career, started in 2001.
After leaving KAP in December 2007 he continued to work as independent aluminium and energy market analyst and consultant, while his engagement included: adviser to KAP's CEO, a consultant /analyst for the Ministry of Economy and Central Bank of Montenegro,among else. From January to April 2016 he was engaged to make a research report on aluminium use in aerospace, automotive and can stock markets, long term outlook, for Italian company Danieli Group. He has been a speaker at world’s leading aluminium conferences, including Metal Bulletin, Arabal and Aluminium Düsseldorf. Goran writes aluminium market and industry reports for a number of aluminium related magazines and I-portals.Since 2010 participates in Reuters base metals poll.
Ezio Filippi – Chief Representative, ChemOrbis Italia
Ezio Filippi graduated in Chimica Industriale at the Milan University in 1988. He joined ChemOrbis in July 2006. As Chief Representative of the Italian Office based in Milan, he contributed to develop ChemOrbis services in Italy and Europe as primary global market intelligence provider combined with a powerful trading platform dedicated to the plastics industry. In his current role he helps ChemOrbis European refined community to take advantage of the undergoing market structural changes and minimizing volatility risks.
He has 25 years’ experience in the chemicals and plastics industry. He started his career joining Shell as Sales Manager in the Fine Chemicals and Lubricant Additives division. He later moved to ICI as the Market Development Manager for EMEA for the new ozone benign refrigerants. He then worked for GE Plastics where he held various commercial, product management and marketing international positions. Prior to joining ChemOrbis, he was Commercial Director of an Italian company active in thermoplastic elastomers compounding.

Alessandro Fossati - Director, Gammatrade Sa
Alessandro Fossati started his career as a consultant in M&A, taxation and corporate finance to join, as a second step, Duferco where he grew up as a steel trader. After a few years in MMK as export manager he worked as an advisor in the steel and raw material field by brokering, forecasting and benchmarking steel and raw material trends and prices as a basis for long/short position planning.
Andrea Guarneri - Trader, Kommodities Partners Sa
He assumed in March 1995 the management of the family farm (170 hectares).
In the meanwhile he develops the activities of financial hedging of USA markets grains.
Then spreads his knowledge on the trading of all major commodities and related indices. Since September 2006, he played the role of technical analyst and trader on non-ferrous metals on LME and Forex.
He is teacher in technical analysis and financial instruments such as futures and options training courses. He has held  lectures on the financial markets at the Bocconi University of Milan. Andrea Guarneri is interviewed on a weekly basis from the financial channel CNBC Class.
Currently he has been working as technical analyst and trader on commodities, forex and indices at Kommodities Partners SA.
Roland Hartmann - Global Account Director Automotive, Novelis
Roland Hartmann is Global Account Director Automotive at Novelis. In this role, he is responsible for several regional and global customers, such as Fiat Chrysler. Roland joined Novelis in 2008 as Key Account Manager for various European OEMs and took over the role of Global Account Director for the Volkswagen Group in 2011. Between September 2014 and July 2016 he held the role of Sales and Marketing Director Automotive developing Novelis‘ European automotive commercial strategy and overseeing the sales results. He holds an engineering degree in Polymer Technology from University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt.  
Paolo Kauffmann – Founder FARO
After graduating in Business Administration and obtaining a Master Degree in technical analysis, he started his professional career embracing technical and intermaket analysis.
Later in the years, the study of the emotional impact involved in raw materials trading and purchasing led him to become a coach for several industrial companies, supporting them in establishing suitable risk management policies. In 1989 he is co-founder with his father Giovanni of Kauffmann&Sons, the company specialized in managing commodities price risks. In 2003 he is the founder of FARO, The Commodities Club, and then in 2005 of Kommodities Partners Sa based in Mendrisio (CH) in order to create a skilled team in brokerage operations.
Thanks to the passion for his area of expertise, he has been teaching in a number of courses on commodity exchanges, hedging tools and trading techniques, organized in collaboration with educational institutions and associations.
Author of numerous articles for several market analysis and technical journals (eg, Il Mondo, A&L Aluminium and its Alloys, Macchine Utensili, Il Giornale di Brescia). Speaker at conferences and talks as Commodity analyst and regular speaker at Weekly Webinar and at  FARO, where thanks to the knowledge gained in the markets he can transfer to the participants his experience.
Fond of sailing and sea, he learned from these passions that you cannot go upwind but you have to make use of what you have got at hand to reach your destination.
Pete Kelly - Managing Director, LMC Automotive
Pete Kelly is Managing Director of LMC Automotive, a leading provider of global automotive industry market intelligence and forecasts with offices in the UK, Germany, the US, China and Thailand. Pete oversaw the acquisition of the Global Automotive Forecasting Group of J.D. Power and Associates in 2011, which is now LMC Automotive. In addition to overall management responsibility, Pete acts as the company’s global Light Vehicle industry analyst. He also focuses on product development for the company. Prior to leading LMC Automotive, Pete was Director of the European arm of J.D. Power and Associates’ Forecasting Group, working there for almost a decade with involvement in light and heavy vehicle forecasts and consulting services. He also spent a year working for LMC International, as Head of Tyre and Rubber Research, before his current role. Earlier in his career, Pete worked as an editor for the world’s largest publisher of scientific journals. He graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Dual Honours Degree in Astrophysics.
Chris Lahaije - A&E Department, TATA Steel Technology Centre
More than 25 years with Hoogovens/Corus/Tata Steel, mainly involved in automotive.
Experiences have included: Material characterization of steel; Project coordinator for aluminium body sheet (ABS) development program; Knowledge group leader of aluminium metallurgy; Representative of Corus within SLC project (SuperlightCar). EU 6th framework project led by VW; Representative Tata Steel in WorldAutoSteel consortium.
The four years PhD work was about atomic physics and had no link with metallurgy/automotive. Title of dissertation: Stark effect in Rydberg states of helium and barium. 
Education: M.Sc. Physics, Technical University of Eindhoven; PhD Physics, Free University of Amsterdam; MBA coursework, Nyenrode University (Breukelen, Nethelands).
Neil Meader - Research & Consultancy Manager, Metal Focus
He is the Research and Consultancy Manager at Metals Focus, the London-based company that is world-renowned for its detailed quantification of the precious metals’ supply and demand, and for its forecasting work on these metals. His role centres on the supervision of the company’s main reports (such as the annual Platinum & Palladium Focus) and the top-down review of all its supply and demand statistics. In addition, he has country-level research responsibility for the USA, Canada, Italy and France. Prior to that, he ran Metallis Consulting Limited, an independent precious metals consultancy, which, led to his conducting many presentations in Shanghai and, among other studies, involved the first truly comprehensive report on country-level stocks of gold jewellery, coins and bars.
This followed on from his time at Thomson Reuters GFMS, where he was Head of Precious Metals Research & Forecasts, a position that made him responsible for the unit’s supply/demand numbers and price forecasts. This marked the culmination of 12 years at GFMS, where he worked his way up from junior analyst to research director. During that time, he conducted field research in Germany, the Netherlands, Mexico, the Middle East and India, in addition to the above four countries. That period also included collaborating with Germany’s Öko-Institut in a comprehensive study of the step-losses for platinum and palladium in all their areas of use. His early career saw him working as an analyst for soft commodity trading companies and, prior to that, for one of the oil majors. He has a degree in economic history from Exeter University, which featured a dissertation on grain trading.

Max Pleger - Sales Development Manager / Business Group Automotive, Toho Tenax Europe GmbH
Max Pleger joined Toho Tenax Europe GmbH (TTE) in 2008 as development engineer. Before he build up some knowledge at EADS Innovation works in preform topics. Using this he supported TTEs development work for the Part via Preform activities. TTE is selling those Carbon fiber reinforced parts (CFRP) in the automotive industry.
In 2015 he changed to the marketing and sales division to market PvP-CFRP and the other Teijin products like glass SMC in the automotive industry.

From 2005 to 2012 he held the position of Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund for Italy, Albania, Greece, Malta, Portugal, San Marino and Timor-Leste. Previously, Dr. Sadun had held the following positions: Director of  economic and financial analysis at the Italian Finance & Economic Ministry in Rome; President and founder of  Business Information Group - BIG ( an economic consulting serving customers in Europe and in the USA); President of the WEFA Group, a worldwide leader in economic forecasting & consulting firm established by the merger of Wharton Econometrics & Chase Econometrics); President of Chase Econometrics, Inc. and Vice President of Chase Econometrics-Europe, Brussels, Belgium. Dr. Sadun holds a PhD and a M.A  in International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University, Washington D.C.- USA; and a degree in Political Science from La Sapienza University, Rome. He was born in Bologna, he is married with two children.
Michele Maria Tedesco -  Responsible for Metals Sheets,Tubes and Extruded Profiles Dept., CRF (FCA Company)
He was born in 1987 in South of Italy, he leaved his home town when he was 19 year old to study mechanical engineering in Turin where he earned a Master’s Degree in 2013.
He has started his adventure in CRF with internship and in 2014 he become an employ. His main activity is assist designers to choose the materials and study new alloys introducing them in FCA models.
He wrote some scientific articles and participated in “Materials in Car Body Engineering Congress” with: “Development of new structural components with innovative materials and technological solutions” and “New advance steel application”.
M. Scott Ulnick - Chairman & Managing Principal, Ducker Worldwide
Scott Ulnick is Chairman of the Board and Managing Principal of Ducker Worldwide, a research, strategic consulting and transaction advisory firm. He joined the Detroit office of the Firm in 1990 following a career with Unisys Corporation where he held positions in marketing, product development and program management. Mr. Ulnick routinely consults leading industry and investment concerns on strategic improvement, growth initiatives and buy side transactions. In this advisory role he participates in up to 100 projects a year, ranging from OEM to supplier to material issues, and covering functional topics from investment & acquisition, commercial diligence, product development, marketing strategy and competitive analysis. Industries of particular expertise include automotive, commercial vehicles, construction products/materials, aerospace, materials & materials forming, consumer durables, and industrial products. He holds an BBA and MBA from Michigan State University.
Massimiliano Valle - CEO, Petroceramics Spa
Expertise:  PhD in Experimantal Petrology. University of Milano, Italy
From 1993 to 2003 he worked as leader of the R&D laboratory in ICRA Spa, a refractory ceramics producer.
In 2003 he become CEO and Co-founder of Petroceramics Spa, a SME based in Bergamo with a staff of about 15 employees and a turnover of around 2,5 M€. Petroceramics is developing technical and fiber reinforced ceramic materials. The fields of interest range from materials for the automotive industry to technologies for fuel cells, armor, non-oxide materials for space and aeronautics.
