Goran Djukanovic has education both in mechanical engineering (dipl.ing) and economics (actuary, postgraduate) of University of Montenegro.
He started his professional career designing parts and equipment for the transport industry before joining Kombinat Aluminijuma Podgorica (KAP) in 1997 as the Chief Design Engineer, prior to market analyst career, started in 2001.
After leaving KAP in December 2007 he continued to work as independent aluminium and energy market analyst and consultant, while his engagement included: adviser to KAP’s CEO and a consultant /analyst for the Ministry of Economy and Central Bank of Montenegro.
Mr Djukanovic participated as a speaker at Metal Bulletin conference in Oslo 2004, Aluminium Essen 2008 and Aluminium Düsseldorf 2012 and 2014, Danieli Technology Forum in 2013 and was keynote speaker at Arabal 2014 conference, among else.He is the columnist at Aluminium Times magazine (UK) and is author of numerous articles for International Aluminium Journal (Germany) and other metal related magazines and internet sites.He participates in Reuters base metals polls.
